Tattoos Simple Tips and Tattoos Ideas for Guys

Now that you have gotten your long awaited tattoo you need to know how too properly care for it to ensure that the tattoo will remain as good as it did the day you got it. The first and probably the most important thing you have got to remember and try you're hardest from not doing is scratching it. Trust me your tattoo is going to itch like a mother and all you will want to do is scratch it.

Well you can't, if you do it will make the scab came off. You need to let the scab fall off on its on, otherwise you will have little white dots all over you tattoo where the ink came off. Your tattoo usually starts to scab up within the first couple of days of getting your tat, this is normal and it means your tattoo has started the healing process.

First you need to leave the bandage on for at least a few hours and when those hours are up you need to gently wash off your tattoo with warm water using a gentle soup. Make sure you wash it with lukewarm water and be forewarned that your skin will be very sensitive and it may burn. After you have gently washed it and dried it, coat your tattoo with bacitracin. You will need to do this a few times a day for the first week or until the scab has completely fallen off your tattoo.

Secondly, you must stay out of the sun! Do not submerge it in water or soak it, keep harsh soaps and or chemicals off of it. Try your best to restrict the amount of rubbing or friction on it from clothes and lastly do not put your tattoo under running water.

I know what you are thinking how can I shower? Don't worry you can shower but trust me your tattoo is going to burn and sting once the water hits it so you will learn real quick on how to shower without getting the place of your tattoo very wet.

I hope these little tips help you to care for you new tattoo. If you follow these steps to a T and don't pick out your scab your tattoo should heal up very nicely.

Simple Tips

Before the tattoo artists starts making the design on your body, make sure that he/she is using new, sterile disposable instruments. At the same time, ensure that he/she uses fresh ink for each session.

It is always advisable to look through the tattoo artist's portfolio. Through it, you will be able to see his work and ascertain whether he/she is really good or not.

Relax yourself completely before getting the tattoo made. If you are nervous and fidgeting too much, the artist will find it difficult to make the tattoo perfectly.

Insist on the tattoo artist to wash his/her hands with water and soap, or a standard sanitizing agent, and wear latex gloves, before making the design.

The tattoo artist must provide clear tattoo aftercare instructions and products. Do not forget to gather the information from him/her.
